Jaxxon is a character from the original Marvel Star Wars comic book series. This green-furred, bipedal rabbit-like alien first appeared in *Star Wars* #8 in 1977.
As the leader of a band of smugglers, Jaxxon's appearance and swashbuckling attitude were intentionally reminiscent of classic pulp heroes. He was conceived as a lighthearted, almost cartoonish, addition to the Star Wars universe.
Though not considered canon for many years, Jaxxon has seen a resurgence in popularity. The rabbit smuggler has appeared in recent Star Wars comics and other media, bringing a dose of levity to the galaxy far, far away.
